Who/what have we got here, and what order does Dr. Shapiro think they go in?

Check back tomorrow for the answer, a shoutout to all the solvers, and a new puzzle!

Previous puzzle:

I saw this question on LearnedLeague and loved it so much, I had to steal it.

In September 2013, a person parked his car outside the London skyscraper seen here, then under construction. When he returned two hours later, parts of his car had been damaged by what?

Answer:

What some of you thought happened: Bits of the building fell off; someone dropped a book from the balcony; an annoyed construction worker shoved the car out of the way with a crane.

What really happened: With its concave exterior, the building focused reflected sunlight on the car, melting some of its parts. Yikes! (BBC article)

Archimedes is supposed to have designed "burning mirrors" as a weapon of war, but it took some unwitting architects to bring his design to fruition. The building has since been fitted with a sunshade.

Incidentally, here's the wildest warning sign I've ever seen on a building:

I mean, thanks, Kaiser Oakland, I guess I shouldn't wait at this bus stop then.

Congratulations to solvers Jessica, Harper (who tells me the building was nicknamed The Fryscraper), Leo S., and Zachary S.!
